John was the 3rd of four children born to Dagfinn & Edna Jonassen (nee Pero). He has two sisters, Margaret Willis & Dorothy Owensby. His brother, David passed away in 1994. He was also preceded in Death by his wife, Carol Young in 2007. All that knew my father, knew he had a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt of his back without hesitation because he took pride in helping others. I remember so many times of us stopping to help a complete stranger, just because they clearly needed it & he believed in paying it forward. My father loved to play guitars, take trips to A/C (with his last $1 lol), boating, camping, bbqing, and being with his friends and family. Please feel free to share your thoughts of him here.
